I'm excited to share the work I contributed to Totenreich, the round-based Zombies map in Black Ops 7. I was responsible for two major areas of the map, Loven's Antiques and Dravakar's Boss Arena, as well as supporting various other spaces throughout the map. I was given a high degree of creative ownership, allowing me to bring these environments to life by applying established concepts and visual motifs while making key artistic decisions that helped define their final look and feel.
The Boss Arena was the largest and most challenging environment I've taken ownership of to date. Working closely with the Design team, I helped ensure the space supported both the narrative and gameplay goals of the encounter while maintaining a strong visual identity. Balancing atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and gameplay readability made it a uniquely demanding project, but also one of the most rewarding spaces I've created.
Huge shoutout to our amazing art leadership, Kyle Smotherman and Ashley Barnett, and to my talented teammates including Nick Levene, Gianni Carpinelli, Grant Hall, Sean Hwang, Wendell Nesbit, Anh Bui, Robby Shieffer, Stephen Chi, Alex Martin, Nick Golden, Alex Stockwell, John Hold, Santiago Medrano and Sungin Paik.
